Overview:
Maramedia's animal documentary series Chasing the Rains is premiered on Sky Nature on 2nd April, 8pm, also available on streaming service NOW. The four-parter follows the intricate stories of three animal matriarchs in Kenya's wild lands as they protect their families during one of the worst droughts in 20 years. Water is life, the elixir without which nothing can survive, but as climate change wreaks havoc, even more ingenuity, resilience and strength will be needed to see the animal families survive. The series is narrated by award-winning actress Adjoa Andoh (Bridgerton, Invictus) and is filmed in stunning 4K UHD. See teaser here.
PR campaign:
tpr media worked with Maramedia to produce a broad-ranging, high-visibility campaign targeting a range of outlets across TV, radio, broadsheets and mid-market tabloids as well as trade and regional press. The coverage kicked off with a feature in the Mirror by Features Writer, Lydia Veljanovski, this ran in print and online as well as in regional publication The Herald. Other coverage included a Sky News Breakfast interview with Faith Musembi and Justin Purefoy live in the studio, Faith was also interviewed on BBC World Service, Times Radio and BBC Radio London. The Sun TV Magazine also ran a small feature on the series. Trade publication Broadcast also ran a Behind the Scenes piece by directors Faith Musembi and Justin Purefoy.
