"Freedom on Fire should be screened three times a day, every day" - Dr Natalia Tronenko, the Co-Founder of British-Ukrainian Aid.

It's an honour to work with Oscar-nominated director Evgeny Afineevsky and Emmy-nominated producer Shahida Tulaganova on Freedom of Fire: Ukraine's Fight for Freedom, the companion piece to Afineevsky's Academy Award-nominated documentary Winter on Fire.

This sweeping anti-war film is a testament to the Ukrainian people's resilience, opening with a packed stand-up comedy event hosted in an underground bunker. Documented across the span of a year and filmed by over 40 cinematographers across 20 Ukrainian cities, Freedom of Fire amplifies the views of the Ukrainian people - children, mothers, soldiers, doctors, artists, volunteers, clergymen and journalists - who are transformed as they witness ceaseless destruction and bloodshed.

The film has been acclaimed at festivals internationally, following its world premiere at Venice and Toronto, and has been praised by Pope Francis following a special screening at the Vatican.
